Test Description: | Cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzymes are monooxygenases primarily localized in the liver. They are in particular important for oxidation reactions in drug metabolism. Cytochrome 2C19 metabolizes in the liver to the active form before it can have an anti-platelet clotting effect, commonly prescribed drugs like Diazepam, Amitriptylin and Propranolol. |
